page 4 Hill Patriots

Memaw's hands when she was in the Assisted Living Home holding pictures of her husband Ralph Sr. and son Ralph Jr.  She also worked for the War Department during WWII in Dallas, TX.  She and her mother moved there to help one of the cousins with a newborn baby. They said the house was at the end of the runway at Love Field.  She is wearing the diamond that my father inherited from Uncle Clarence when he passed away. Clarence wore this diamond in a pinky ring. My father had it made into a wedding set for my mother.  The diamond was suppose to be one that Jesse James gave Tuck Hill for doing a favor of some unknown task. My father found this diamond in his mother's drawer when he was around 10. Hearing his elders discuss the diamond he wanted to find out himself it is was real by writing on the window in his grandparents home.  The last time we visited the house in McKinney was at Memaw's funeral. The writing was still there on the upstair front window. I think that he wrote FM and something else. That was his grandfather's initials.
